Here is a great interview with our resident Liverpool Supporter with the improbably long user name.

Wolfy

Please tell us something about your upbringing, school, family background, area you come from.

I was always weary of talking about my up-bringing, it was hard. Born in Liverpool and lived there for 6 years, moved over here because I had to, well I cant remember the reason and didn't bother to ask as I always got cold responses.

Next can you tell us something about your working life, your qualifications if relevant and any funny anecdotes you may have that are connected with your job.

Well, I did play football for a club called MoyVilla for a while and a club called Ardagh but it took too much time so I just work in a garage shop now. Met me missus there.

Tell us a little about your adult family (wife, kids anything appropriate) and your hobbies.

My hobby is definitely football and I spare a 10 a week for football betting. Usually make profits on 100-200 on good weeks. My girlfriend Ashleigh is due our 1st child on December 1st so soon enough. Had a few false alarms where she told me she was pregnant but wasn't. We are happy now

Why Liverpool and not any other club?

Born there and the passion the supporters 'had' was incredible, born there and those European night were amazing to watch. Love the history of the club, that's why I would have loved Kenny to stay, for sentimental reasons.

Do you have any “second” team or teams and if so who are they and why are you interested in them?

Sunderland and now Reading. I followed Sunderland because they brought in a few Irish lads and Roy Keane was one of my favourite players so I followed them when he was in charge. Reading because of Daib0. Also sometimes Real Madrid one of my brother's is a Barca fan

Any particular game or games that mean more to you than most?

If we played Sheff Wed again. Against Arsenal and United mostly. Was at an Arsenal game and it was an incredible experience. Man United because of the rivalry and hatred. The hatred alone makes it so, so, so special to win.

Any opponent teams that you actively dislike.

Yes, numerous teams but Chelsea have to be one. They started this money ball football and have never had respect for the minute Hillsborough silence. Their fans are plastics too and they can't see it. Used to love seeing them lose.

Who are your all time favourite non LFC footballers?

Torres if he counts. Brilliant goalscorer in his time.
Messi. The man is a magician.
Roy Keane. No nonsense midfielder.
Balotelli. Makes me laugh.
Buffon. Goalie of real quality. Always been my favourite keeper/

Who (non LFC football person) can’t you stand?

Dave Wheelan at Wigan. Rio Ferdinand, Evra and Bacon Face.

How do you see LFC going, are you optimistic, pessimistic, happy, sad?

Not sure at the moment. Pessimistic before Chelsea, optimistic after. Would love to see Rafa back as manager, would send my optimism through the roof. His worst league position was 7th and he brought in the likes of Garcia, Mascherano, Alonso, Torres, made Carragher a star, Riise, etc.

What makes you laugh?

Man United losing. Most football jokes do but my best mates make me laugh the most. No, their not scouse.

What makes you sad?

Liverpool losing and seeing my Girlfriend break down in tears once for a personal reason. Hate anybody messing with my family, makes me angry/sad and I usually retaliate.

What really annoys you

Well I just mentioned above but I suppose the way LFC get treated in the press and the way us fans were blamed for Hillsborough.

What are your favourite foods, do you prefer to dine in or out?

I like to dine in with a Chinese or Pizza take-away. The missus and me on teh couch, stuffing our faces. Only occasionally though. Once every 2 weeks.

What makes BCC tick for you, how did you find us, what keeps you a member, where does your handle/username come from?

Well the missus loved LittleMix and I used to love a ps1 game called Metal Gear Solid 1 and a character called Sniperwolf so that's it really . I like this forum because there is banter, sometimes too much (Les Miserable) but I enjoy it and the match previews are just a fraction of blogs I do for numerous sites but I like to help out with them.

Anything you want to say, not covered by the above?

Thanks for a wonderful site and interview

No, but I love to visit. I'll be back in the Spring. Only driven through Mayo, stayed in Clare and Galway and such. A few days in West Cork.

I had a great-great grandmother from Tralee, surname Sheehy!!

Anyway, very fine interview - I'd even like to ask you a special permission to reproduce it on RR in the future, as both this board and Wolfy himself are becoming very well-known down in the Thames Valley - what about February time, for example?!

Sorry - on re-reading I realised that this post wasn't necessarily aimed at Wolfy.

Yes - that's fine by me - if Wolfy agrees and I'nm sure he will.

Fantastic! I already have Jan covered with a nice Man Utd fan, but Feb would be great. 'Will also credit you as the interviewer of course...

I'm not bothered about that, but perhaps originally posted on BCC might be nice. Cheers daib0

(Assuming we are all still talking after Tuesday.

Yep, BCC of course credited there.

One thing I try to install with RR members is 'no whinging if we lose, no gloating if we win' ... that is constant whoever we play. I value your site far too much to get embroiled into silly arguments! ;)

Update: Keelan is now 1 and a handful, going to be 2 in December. :D

Still with the missus and engaged :) No plans for the big day yet, however.

Edit: I'm also 25 in November.

great stuff!! We're trying to subtly get you in to the Prediction game, but keep lips sealed!

Also do miss you on RR, we've thankfully lost a couple of problematic posters, now much calmer! You're always welcome, you know that!!
